Lusotitan, I feel your rearrangement breaks the flow of anterior -> posterior, proximal -> distal. If this article really were to highlight the claws, they would be moved up one paragraph and the section would be moved to the top. I don't see the necessity of such a middle-ground step. To any general reader the claw would be the most notable thing in that paragraph. Even in general, it's by far the most distinctive thing about the animal, which is probably why it's one of the first things mentioned in the both lead and the abstract of its description paper.
