This article contains several third-party links which verify that the club is associated with a former national champion, a national youth champion, a world record holder, a current US Open champion, a number of certified masters, the Kasparov Chess Foundation, the University of Texas chess program, a World Youth silver medalist, and the club hosts a major national tournament, the Southwest Open. Furthermore, a citation has been provided to show that the DCC regularly hosts the nation's top-ranking collegiate chess team. In addition, the third party links verify that this is in fact one of the most active clubs in the country, if not the most active. The third party sources also include a citation from a prominent chess blog, which specifically identifies DCC as being one of the most active clubs in the country. Furthermore, the DCC runs the elementary, high-school, and collegiate tournaments for the entire state of Texas. The clubs hosts a number of other regular national tournaments, and has been recognized by the USCF as one of its major affiliates. Clearly, if the Marshall Chess Club deserves an article, then so does the Dallas Chess Club. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexeyroot (talkcontribs)

The article doesn't need to have the exact number of tournaments directed, the exact number of games played since April, etc. These will be changing. Say "hundreds", "thousands", "over X hundred", etc. Bubba73 (talk), 03:27, 15 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
