Tractor manufacturer (section)
editThis section starts "At this time..." which is of no help if you haven't read the rest of the article. I followed the redirect Ivel tractor, and then manually jumped to this section. I then had to backtrack to discover what 'this time' was. (This is a relatively minor issue to fix.)
A bigger problem is that the section suggests that steam power was not used on farms until 1900. This is very wrong. The first truly portable engines came into use in the late 1840s, with some stationary installations appearing before this, and with viable traction engines appearing during the 1850s. Steam power was used particularly for threshing and ploughing, although, admittedly, cost was a major factor and the machines were not as common as tractors are today. If you wish to refine the criteria to 'tractors for direct ploughing', then the paragraph is more nearly correct, since steam-powered versions were never really successful in the UK owing to the heavy soil. US steam tractors were used successfully for direct ploughing, however.
I don't know any more about this tractor, so I cannot apply the necessary modifications.
