– Jennings the executive has been hired as the manager of the Miami Marlins and managers are not generally classified as executives. Since front office executives don't tend to receive as much media attention as managers, there is a good chance that Jennings' managerial stint, however brief it may be, will be more notable than his time in the front office. Therefore, it seems best to simply remove the word 'executive' from the title. My main concern is how this all relates to the Dan Jennings article, in which the subject is a currently active baseball player. Since the player is arguably not that noteworthy by MLB standards, in time the manager may become the primary topic. Mellowed Fillmore (talk) 15:42, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- I would counter propose that this article be moved to Dan Jennings (manager) and the other Dan Jennings article to Dan Jennings (pitcher) per normal baseball naming conventions. A simple (baseball) name would probably be confusing. Spanneraol (talk) 15:51, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- That's a much better idea, but I don't know how to change this proposal to reflect that. Also, wouldn't I need to put something on the talk page of the other Jennings article? Mellowed Fillmore (talk) 15:56, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- Changing this request should be as simple as adjusting your requested move thing above. You probably also need to make a request at the baseball players page or at least post a link to this discussion here and maybe a link on the project talk page. Spanneraol (talk) 16:24, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- Okay, that's what I'll do. Mellowed Fillmore (talk) 16:38, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

- Support Daniel Jennings dab? In ictu oculi (talk) 09:23, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
- Support per above. FWIW I'm the one who created both of these pages at their present locations. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:41, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
- Support having a disambiguation page at the base location seems good -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 04:29, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
