Reading the article
The article reads:
- Dana College is a place where students make things happen — in their own lives and in the lives of others. Here no student sits on the sidelines.
This is unencyclopedic. —Vespristiano 03:39, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- On further investigation, the quote appears on the main page of the [www.dana.edu Dana College website]. You're right, I also perceive the bias. I'll work on improving the article and establishing a NPOV soon. -D. Wu 8 July 2005 19:39 (UTC)

New Section: History
I added some of the history of Dana College -- specifically about its founding. Also added a few references about the school. Pastordavid 19:20, 27 November 2006 (UTC) PastorDavid
Jumping the gun a bit? (Dana not yet legally "defunct"?)
Re.:
"The institution faced economic troubles in the 2000s. In 2010 it was put up for sale to a group investors which formed the Dana Education Corporation. The group intended to transform the institution into a for-profit institution with a focus on "doubling enrollment, aggressively marketing the school and building Dana's study abroad program." The sale of the college was not approved by the institution's regional accreditor, the Higher Learning Commission. Without the approval and no other source of financial backing, the college was forced to close in July 2010."
As I write, it is July 12, 2010. Some parties are attempting to appeal the accreditation denial by the Higher Learning Commission (although chances are slim that the appeal, if it can be made, will be successful). I don't have details to offer about the appeal, but appeal efforts have been covered during the last three weeks by local (Omaha, NE) news dailies and should be easy to research.
In any case, the quoted paragraph above is misleading, for two reasons: (a) "was forced to close" wrongly uses past tense (it's still July 2010) and (b) the article fails to acknowledge ongoing efforts to appeal the accreditation denial. It only seems fair to avoid characterizing Dana's status as the writer assumes it will be in the future (rather than the status as it is when the article is posted). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pedagoglike (talk • contribs) 17:56, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
website defunct
Preferably all dana.edu links should be replaced with those from archive.org.Naraht (talk) 17:47, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
Dana Campus purchased by Midland University.
I think changing it to "currently defunct" is the best way to express it, Midland University (which is also affiliated with the ECLA and about half an hour away) has agreed to purchase the campus.Naraht (talk) 14:23, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
