Notability and correction

edit

I am very much connected to the subject of this article since I am the subject of this article. I do agree with the assessment currently displayed on top of it, stating that the article might not meet the notability guideline for biografies and would like to suggest the deletion of the article. However, as long as it stays up it may as well reflect that I am not editor for digital society at taz anymore. I left the paper in 2020. I do continue to work journalistically as freelancer. Dakret I fixed your notice; if you truly feel that you do not meet the notability guidelines, we can begin a deletion process. If you would prefer to offer suggestions for changes, preferably sourced to independent reliable sources, please do so using the edit request process on this page. 331dot (talk) 14:34, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
331dot Thank you for the reply. You are absolutely right. It is either deleting or correcting. And even though it feels weird to write: I am quite sure that I do not meet the criteria of notability. This feels especially true when looking at the rather short list of German journalists notable enough to be graced with english entries in the Wikipedia. Nuuk Hello; what exactly is the claim to notability for Mr. Kretschmar? I see the award, but the award itself does not have an article(just the person the award is named for). Sources also seem to be lacking. As you see above, he doesn't feel that he's notable and generally that is respected (see WP:BLPREQUESTDELETE). 331dot (talk) 14:53, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Notable as recepient of the de:Otto-Brenner-Preis. --Nuuk (talk) 15:15, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I see that, but this award does not have an article on this Wikipedia that indicates why the award is notable. 331dot (talk) 15:46, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
