Prior Criminal Convictions
editBefore the murders LaPlante committed burglary and lived in the walls of a house of a girl he had a date with once and psychologically tortured the family for weeks and was sentenced to juvenile detention. it should be noted in the article somewhere. https://www.parkaman.com/strange-case-daniel-laplante-real-night-horror-story/ https://www.ranker.com/list/danny-laplante-facts/laura-allan https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/world-news/killer-daniel-laplante-hid-inside-26616555 https://www.joeturnerbooks.com/post/daniel-laplante https://medium.com/lessons-from-history/a-murderer-lived-in-the-familys-walls-for-months-watching-them-9c69f0d2a472 https://casocriminal.org/en/weird-cases/daniel-laplante-the-man-who-lived-hidden-inside-the-victims-house/ Shktriib1 (talk) 04:44, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- These events had been covered in the article, but I removed that coverage with the edit summary "Removing scenarios that aren't mentioned at all in any of the sources provided. To the editor who changed the names based on personal knowledge, please see Wikipedia's guidance on this at WP:OR. None of this should have been here without proper sources." If this information can be restored with proper footnotes from reliable sources and in conformance with what the sources report, that will be fine. I don't know whether the sources you list include any that qualify as reliable for Wikipedia purposes. For example, who is Joe Turner and who is publishing his book? (He doesn't say.) The Daily Star shouldn't be cited as it is listed at WP:RS/P as an unreliable source: "The Daily Star was deprecated in the 2020 RfC due to its reputation for publishing false or fabricated information."
