editTHE most unconvincing actor I have EVER seen ...same performance every time —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.156.5.254 (talk) 02:20, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
- That's great (I also disagree). What does it have to do with Wiki? The Voivod (talk) 01:29, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Not a citable source?
editSource of the entire article text is not third party, it comes from the actor's own website http://www.daniel-mays.co.uk/bio.html - the same source iMDB uses. Is this allowed? 31.127.242.176 (talk) 11:08, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
Copyvio
editI have substantially trimmed this article because it was word-for-word the same as the bio on the official website shown in the External links section (go to that site, click the "Daniel Mays" item in the menu). That site was not given as a source & in any event would fall foul of WP:SPS but I have retained the statements that were independently sourced & not prima facie copyright violations.
Usually, I would check archive.org to see if the external site had copied from us, rather than vice versa, but it is tricky doing that on a mobile phone, sorry, and so I have erred on the side of legal caution here. If I am correct, there is a big revdel needed. Pinging Diannaa, who may be able to check. - Sitush (talk) 11:20, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Sitush. The earliest version of the https://danielmays.co.uk/daniel-mays/ webpage that was archived by the Wayback Machine is dated 2015 so there's nothing provable here. We've had some of the overlapping content as early as 2009. So I won't be doing revision deletion— Diannaa (talk) 12:56, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
