Wrestling Career

edit

Information about his wrestling career keeps getting removed. The latest two reasons are that the links are dead and that the information is point of view. WP:DEADLINK clearly states "Do not delete cited information solely because the URL to the source does not work any longer. WP:Verifiability does not require that all information be supported by a working link, nor does it require the source to be published online." Thus, deleting for the dead link is not a valid reason. The POV issue is a bit more tricky. The article appears to be written from a neutral point of view. The inclusion of the statements are not POV, but merely an expression of what some have said. I made some edits to make this more clear. What is stated is no different than the article of Anderson Silva stating that he is the "consensus No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world." At the end of the day, that is a POV statement, but since the article is clear that it is an opinion of some and not a fact it is allowed. Similarly, the text in this article should not be removed since it is clear it is an opinion of some and not a fact. RonSigPi (talk) 19:06, 8 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
