COI "Awards" listings
editDear TJMSmith: Thank you for applying this edit of yours! If any COI editor ever tries to add a spammy "Awards" section back to the article, feel free to use WP:ORGAWARDS as your justification for cutting it down to size. Kind regards, —Unforgettableid (talk) 11:55, 6 August 2020 (UTC)

Restoring "Selected publication" section and asking for the addition of content in Award section
editGreetings all. I am a new editor. A senior editor, Russ Woodroofe reverted my edits. We discussed the matter here, after which I am restoring the "Selected Publication" section.
As per our discussion, I would have to ask here, on the talk page, about any additions to the "Awards" section. I did the following edits... I seek your expert advice:
Awards and recognition
1986 - Bernard B Brodie Award in Drug Metabolism and Disposition[https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7995936/]
1994 - Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) [3][https://ehp.niehs.nih.gov/doi/pdf/10.1289/ehp.103-1519088]
2005 - Distinguished Lifetime Toxicology Scholar. [https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7995936/]
2016 - R.T. Williams Distinguished Scientific Achievement Award. [https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7995936/]
2024 - Research.com Genetics in United States Leader Award[https://research.com/u/daniel-w-nebert]
Please let me know if they are okay. If they are not, kindly let me know the reason so I can better understand. Thank you. Bo2pup (talk) 23:42, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- A short selected publications list is supportable, but 7 papers seems like way too many to me. I trimmed to three. If there is a good reason to add a less highly cited paper, then I'd be happy to discuss. The awards mostly (all?) look below the level that I think an encyclopedia should cover, and I think that the prose coverage is better than a list. It is possible that the Toxicology Scholar award would be worthwhile, though we should look for better sourcing than an interview. Pinging @Unforgettableid and TJMSmith: who did some needed trimming of paid editing of this article. Russ Woodroofe (talk) 16:25, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
