Request to Add MacArthur Fellow

edit

Hello, I would like to propose the following be added to law professor Danielle Citron's article at the end of the first paragraph under Biography: Citron was awarded a 2019 MacArthur Fellowship for her work in cyber harrassment.[1]

   Edit request implemented

  • The requested claim was added.

  Additional changes made:

  1. Claims which were unreferenced were omitted.
  2. Her house intelligence committee testimony was given a {{when}} template.
  3. Instances where the subject was referred to as "Professsor Citron" were removed per MOS:CREDENTIAL
  4. Accolades which did not demonstrate having their own Wikipedia article were omitted per WP:NPOV.[a][b]

Notes

  1. ^ By their very nature, awards can be subjective — in that they represent a very specific point of view — the point of view of the individual or organization which determines who wins the award and why. To counter this, a good practice is to limit the listing of awards to only those which are independently notable in Wikipedia. This is not due to WP:N (which is not a content requirement), but rather, to ensure WP:NPOV. The adding of several points of view to an article in the form of awards mentioned may skew the article's balance.[1] Thus, my own practice is to limit the listing of awards to only those which are independently notable in Wikipedia.
  2. ^ By this same logic, the awarding of the MacArthur Fellowship (which has its own Wikipedia page) was approved and added to the article.

What about her work with Frank Pasquale, The Scored Society?

What on earth

What on earth is going on here? So many violations on this article starting with WP:NOTDIR and WP:PROMO. Good lord. Jtbobwaysf (talk) 10:23, 2 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
