"People"? Or "Men"?

I noticed that the term "people" is used in the article to describe those that pull the danjiri, but I have noticed that they are all men. Are only men allowed to pull this danjiri? If so, perhaps this should be discussed in the article? --sgsilver (talk) 08:16, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

At the matsuri in Danjiri, it's men and women (mostly very young as I recall). I went in 1994.
