Better do not use this pic to illustrate Brunkeberg 1471

edit

1471 or 1501?

This picture is used in many wikipedias to illustrate the aftermath of the Battle at Brunkeberg 1471 or the Danish-Swedish war of 1470/71. In 1471 the victorous Sten Sture was around 20 or 21 years old. The Sten Sture in this picture, however, looks much older. More likely this picture illustrates Sten Stures welcome in Stockholm in 1501... thirty years later when he was around 50yo. --Roksanna (talk) 07:45, 26 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Discrepancy with Kalmar Union

edit

If the Kalmar Union was dissolved in 1523 with the Swedish War of Liberation, how did Sweden gain its independence already in 1471, as this article states in its "Aftermath" section? I think that part should be rewritten - or all other relevant articles should. --Sannita - not just another it.wiki sysop 15:30, 10 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sweden gained de-facto independence multiple times during the Kalmar Union, which is what the Aftermath section says. Gvssy (talk) 07:39, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Death count discrepancy

edit

The deaths of the danish side number more than 5000(With a 100% mortality rate??) when there is only 5000 troops shown. there are no citations for ANY of the death or troop counts. Idaslashjade (talk) 20:10, 5 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
