Split?
editYou see, it doesn't work like this. You can't just say you want to split an article and then give absolutely no justification or plan. If you don't give justification by 7:00 PM EST April 26, I will remove the split tag. --Aurochs (Talk | Block) 06:41, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- I would like to go into further detail for each game, which will surely expand the article in question beyond what is recommended in guidelines (size limits etc.). Other members of Wikipedia:WikiProject Computer and video games in the past have performed similiar splits and had articles linked from a "Series" article, which is usually an overview with history and concept.
- Examples: The_Legend_of_Zelda_series, Gradius series, Parodius series - Vic Vipr 08:28, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, Darius Twin single handedly made me fall in love with shmups. So there! :) (Djungelurban 14:50, 10 May 2006 (UTC))
How's it pronounced?
editI think "Da-RYE-us" is wrong. Shouldn't it be pronounced the same way as the common Persian name "Darius"? I'll take Iron Maiden's song Alexander the Great as a reference. When Bruce Dickinson sings:
- king Darius the third
- defeated fled persia
He pronounces it DA-ree-ous. - Stormwatch 02:31, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- I've been wondering this. I assumed that whoever wrote Da-RYE-us knew what they were talking about, since I naturally pronounced it DA-ree-us. But if it's a Japanese word, DA-ree-us makes more sense, as i is pronounced 'ee' in romanised Japanese. Spottedowl 22:24, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- The japanese name, romanized, is "DARAIASU", not "DARIUSU" or anything like that. "Da-RYE-us" is the correct pronounciation
Trivia
editDid you know that the music on the first level is a remix of a tune from another Taito game? That game is called Metal Soldier Issac II? -
