Silent Circle = military intelligence

Ladar Levison obviously doesn't understand how secret service is working. Their job is "befriend and betray", so, making something together with the U.S. based company and military personal (Mike Janke and Vic Hyder)... it is lack of knowledge. Ladar remember me on Julian Assange who believed in Sweden, Switzerland, etc, until Snowden came with true information about Sweden and others. In any case, spies are like small criminals, cheaters (befriend and betray), but in the case of Silent Circle, their cheating brought them good profit: When Snowden published information about NSA, Silent Circle monthly revenue has increased more than 400% month-on-month since June 6, 2013. Abolishing email maybe was even planned, but they made good marketing and cheating when they said they abolished email for the same reason like Levison/Lavabit, it was clear cheating to get customers and nothing else. Who believe to spies? Ladar believes in America, Ladar believes in military spies, Snowden didn't make anything clear to Ladar. Judge will show him the truth about America and for Silent Circle, he will get the truth little harder and consequence will be that many people will be spied successfully. One more time: where are freedom fighters, there are spies, secret service is not passive, they infiltrate their people. IPSec for VPN or anything else, they infiltrate everything connected with privacy. Welcome to totalitarianism. Be aware of Silent Circle and any other project connected with them (Darkmail, Blackphone, etc)... Just to add that Zimmermann was hunted by FBI and then the state drop charges and now he became rich when he works with military intelligence. With the state you make money, against the state you get prison, so, his choice is clear, he sold himself. all you try is to make some software developers look bad. What is your intent? Dehumiliation that we have a bad feeling about those persons? vs. Bitmessage

Service? Not a service?

The page describes Dark Mail as being a service; however the interview in Popular Mechanics (http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/how-to/computer-security/why-we-should-encrypt-everyones-email-17162499) implies that it's instead a technology that can be supplemented to email services anywhere. It seems, Ladar Levision is the only founding member still being involved with darkmail. Phil Zimmermann, Jon Callas and Mike Janke disappeared from the front page. NostrMail

NostrMail solves the key distribution problem:

A simple email encryption tool based on secp256 key pairs.

How it works:

NostrMail encrypts content using a symetric key derived from a combination of the sender's private key and the receiver's public key.

Both sender and receiver derive a shared secret known only to them, which is used to protect their communications.

This application can use any email server for delivery.
