Contrasting

edit

It doesn't matter if this novel contrasts with latter Mirror Universe television episodes. Novels are never meant to be canon. All they are supposed to do is -add- to episodes that have been made already. Lots42 (talk) 08:26, 9 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I know they aren't, but that doesn't mean that the contrasts and contradictions can't be pointed out does it? BobThePirate (talk) 17:28, 9 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Don't see how relevant that would be to Wikipedia. For stuff like that, why not try 'Memory Prime', the Trek=pedia? Lots42 (talk) 20:25, 9 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
If the novel is at all relevant to wikipedia, then surely so is how it fits in with the rest of Trek. I don't understand why this is even a question BobThePirate (talk) 21:17, 9 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Because novels aren't canon. And yes, a novel could contrast with episodes produced -before- the novel came out. But unless it's something big and noteable (like having Chekov be dead or calling Vulcans 'Steves') it's probably not noteable. Putting in something along the lines of 'The novel had Ensign Bob like bacon when on the show he passed on a bacon dish' just isn't noteable enough. Lots42 (talk) 00:53, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've restored the deleted info; there's no reason for it not to be there. I have, however, added the point about novels being non canon. BobThePirate (talk) 19:48, 25 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I am cool with what you wrote, though your last sentence is redundant. Lots42 (talk) 00:01, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
