Benson, Arizona

edit

Is it known whether the original Yager version of Benson, Arizona is included within either of the generically titled tracks, or was only the re-recording released? 136.159.160.8 (talk) 20:14, 23 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

The generically titled tracks are essentially just the music/sound effects track of the movie omitting pure dialogue portions, so it's at the end of the second track where the credits would be. --tronvillain (talk) 22:02, 23 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Actual song for "When Twilight Falls on NGC 891" identified - What is listed is incorrect

edit

In the movie the artists credited for this song are Martin Segundo and the Scintilla Strings but they don't actually exist. Its a fictitious name made up just for the movie. I don't understand how the real musicians weren't credited on the released soundtrack. Seems that would be a copyright violation. Maybe the whole things is just so niche and weird noone noticed.

Anyway, a guy on youtube found the real song. Its called Spring Bossa by James Clarke from 1967. Here is a link to the youtube page: Martin Segundo - When twilight falls on NGC 891 aka James Clarke - Spring Bossa / Dark Star theme HQ

I asked him how he found it and he'd used the waybackmachine on an old website. I don't know how this could be properly cited on wikipedia, but the real name of the song and artist should be here so that anyone else looking for it (which it seems many have for years) could get the correct information.

I'll put the real name of the song and artist in parentheses right now until someone can come up with a better way to do this.
