Why War??
editin the original Darksiders comics War is mentioned as the horseman who was often the most rebellious and "untamed" toward the Charred Council, is that why the charred council decided to plot against him in the first place?? thanksGrandia01 (talk) 13:04, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Characters
editWhy is there no information on vulgrim, samael, tiamat, or the jailer? I mean we don't know MUCH about them, but the website gives enough to write up a short blurb on each.
Vulgrim: somewhat of a demonic salesman (because causing pain and anguish isn't fun enough i guess) he sells you many things and also sells the scyth. in addition he sells upgrades to your scyth, chaoseater, crossblade.sells upgrades to powers like blade geyser, stoneskin, immolation, affliction. He also allows you to use serpent holes which help with travel. also sells things such as wrath shards(2500 souls each), wrath core(100000) rage((fills wrath bars))(500), greater rage(1500), life essence(500), greater life essence(1500), possession((fills chaos leve))(1500), undying((completely fills both health and wrath bars upon dying))(3000), empty vessel((can be created into any thing like rage essence etc(2000)
Samael: demon, imprisoned by the destroyer, he tells you to collect the hearts of the guardians of the tower. (SPOILER ALERT: the "guardians" really only hold a portion of his power within themselves) by giving them to him he opens a portal to the tower and leaves on his way.
Watcher: holds all of wars locked power, can be summoned at will for hints and snide comments by holding select. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.219.143.119 (talk) 04:34, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Weapons?
editShould a weapons section be added? Or would it be better to wait until more than just the crossblade and harvester are announced?
addition of information chaos eater- the weapon of war, it is used through most of the game, it is the main weapon and is used the most through out the game
scythe - is sold by vulgrim for souls. it is a rather decent weapon vs. large group. it has a few moves but none particularly powerful. (description: the Scythe's massive, curved blade performs large sweeping attacks that devastate multiple enemies.)
tremor gauntlet - is a gauntlet recieved in a dungeon(the griever's lair) it is used to crack the blue pillars of what appears to be ice. it reveals several hidden paths, chests, etc... (also particularly useful for punching annoyingly small and unsuspecting enemies over nearby cliffs.) (description: A battle-worn gauntlet that releases tremor waves when charged. to charge the gauntlet hold...)
Armageddon Blade - Is the main blade spoken of (and rarely used) throughout the storyline. destroyed (ironicly by) the destroyer due to it being the "only blade strong enough to kill him." near the end you speak with the angel of death, who sends you out to collect the 7 pieces of the blade, then reforged by it's origonal forger ulthane. I suggest that you collect vulgrims locations, as this vastly shortens the travel between the pieces. (description: Re-forged by Ulthane, the Armageddon Blade is the only weapon powerful enough to slay the destroyer)
Gear&wrath
Earthcaller - given by vulgrim for giving him 500 souls near the beginning, used to wake the earth golumns (description: A masterfully carved horn whose call awakens ancient gates. press * to activate the horn when equipped. some creatures can be knocked back by the Earthcaller's deafening blast.)
Crossblade: Used to solve several problems throughout the game, also useful for blowing away poison clouds around some monsters, and good against flying foes.(description:A finely crafted throwing blade that can strike multiple targets. Enter aim mode by pressing * and select up to five targets by holding * press * to throw the Crossblade.)
Mercy: used at a couple points in the game, and given to you by Ulthane after the battle vs. the Griever(description: A beautifully crafted pistol that decimates foes with an unending supply of supernatural rounds. * to fire)
Abyssal Chain: used somewhat like the hookshot in legend of zelda, is can also be used to pull enemies to you, or used to pull yourself to large enemies. used during the battle with silitha the spider. (description: fires a grappling chain that attaches to enemies and moveeable objects. use * to grapple targeted enemies and objects.)
voidwalker: used alot like the portal gun from the game portal. charge it to allow yourself to accelerate quickly through a portal, or just fine to go through. (description: An arcane relic that creates portals, allowing instant travel between two points. press(hold) * to create a charged portal that greatly increases wars exit velocity)
Mask of shadows: given to you by the angel of death, to bring out the evil in your soul, so you may fight yourself and reach the tree of knowledge in the garden of eden. (descriptions: This artifact bestows war with the shadow sight, revealing what is hidden. * (toggle) switches between war's normal and shadow sight.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.219.143.119 (talk) 04:20, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

editThis is unprofessional and biased. It sounds more like an advertisement than an encyclopedia entry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ffish (talk • contribs) 02:37, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Agreed, I do not know enough about this game to put up any info, but not only is it biased, the grammar is atrocious.
--Lprsti99 (talk) 02:06, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Though the article is not the best of articles, you cant exactly expect it to be professional, it is only a start. Unless you can be bold and fix it yourself, the article will have to remain the way it is until more info is released on the games. King Rock Go 'Skins! 02:04, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
fixed?
editI had a go at cleaning up - therefor I've removed this tag
{{articleissues | refimprove = April 2008 | advert = April 2008 | cleanup = April 2008 | rewrite = April 2008 }}
I also had to remove the image - can't accept fair use rational at this point - concept art is not necessary when there are links in the text to the same.. this image:
>[[Image:WarDarksiders.jpg|330px|thumb|One version of War concept art.|right]]
I think it's as good as many other articles for unreleased games now (sparse but not incorrect)
If anyone else finds stuff - ever DIY or leave a message here and someone (possibly me) will add any new and relevent data..87.102.86.73 (talk) 22:54, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
wrong title
editthe title of this game no longer contains the subtitle "wrath of war". how can we get rid of it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lateloop (talk • contribs) 00:25, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Unspecified information?
editI have a few questions about this article, I've played and beaten the game but some of the information presented here seems off. What I'm wondering is that how does anyone know that the woman's voice that spoke to Abaddon and offered him a place in Hell was Lilith and that the Old Ones were the Nephilim? Can anyone tell me where this information came from?
"Best Zelda game in a while." Aaaaaaahahahahaaa.
Development cost
editI was wondering if there's any information what was the development cost of this game? I've read the publishers were not happy with the sales. Though, I'd say, it's one of the best games I've ever played. Graphical style, animation, overall atmosphere... -- Nazar (talk) 11:26, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

– Given that the series is now 4 games, a book, possible comics and movie, I'm surprised the series page isn't primary. The first game isn't particularly notable compared to the others. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 20:29, 22 August 2019 (UTC)

- Support per the above. Seems like the most appropriate course of action. Similar things have been done to other video game franchises on here, with Animal Crossing and Animal Crossing (video game) being on example. Aoba47 (talk) 20:52, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
