Middle name
editEdits in December 2021 have removed the artist's middle name, and one also removed the associated reference. See diffs: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, also removed source. I ask for this issue to be discussed here prior to the removal/change of his middle name.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 00:16, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

@BriggsmeetBriggs: you have removed the artist's middle name, with the explanation: "Cross although registered with APRA as noted does not go as Darren James Cross- The middle name James is omitted."
- You agree that the artist is registered with James as his middle name. Please note that numerous online articles, detailing song writing attributions to the artist, also show James. In light of this evidence why did you remove his middle name?shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 11:29, 11 January 2022 (UTC)12:16, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
According to both McFarlane (currently ref [2]) and ARIA (currently ref [3]) the artist was known as Darren E. Spielberg-Cross while a member of Gerling. According to APRA AMCOS the artist's registered name as a songwriter is Darren James Cross (currently ref [1]). I have moved the latter out of birth_name in the infobox. I request a better source for his birth name.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 05:52, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
Domestic partner
editAccording to Kingsmill (currently source [16]), "Duo debut: Jep and Dep are partners in life and on stage." According to Thomas ([17]), "are you a couple? [Cross]: Yep, we are an item." Cross then details meeting and working together with Cassar. Consequently I have written "His folk noir duo Jep and Dep were formed in 2012 with his domestic partner, Jessica Cassar", which is supported by those two sources. This has been periodically removed, without a reliable source. I will now return it again, and ask for this to be discussed here prior to its removal.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 00:31, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

@BriggsmeetBriggs: you have removed the artist's connection to fellow singer, with the explanation: " Jessica Cassar is not Cross' domestic partner. this needed to be updated."
- Cross, himself says, "Yep, we are an item. It's funny ‘cause as we met I had my musical epiphany and decided I wanted to just perform music as an acoustic folk performer – just some songs and a guitar – with the ability to play my music anywhere anytime. I guess to break free from any type of reliance on electronic instruments. So I was trying to learn how to play Townes Van Zandt fingerpicking patterns at the same time me and Jess met each other. Jess had messed around on the piano before and we just made up a song. Well, she forced me into it to be honest and we made up our first song together. We wanted Jep and Dep to be like this smart ass anti-folk Adam Green, Kimya Dawson type thing at first, but it just naturally grew into this serious folk noir creature." (see interview at ref [21]) From this and Kingsmill (see ref [20]) they were demestic partners when they formed Jep and Dep. If they are no longer domestically involved then you would require a reliable source for that change.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 11:48, 11 January 2022 (UTC)12:16, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
THEY ARE NOW DIVORCED. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.18.3.30 (talk) 05:03, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
- Do you have a reliable source for this claim? If verified, the statement in the article would be modified to "His folk noir duo Jep and Dep were formed in 2012 with his then-domestic partner, Jessica Cassar" or similar.
