editWhen I revamped the Darude article in August, I was careful to include only facts that were from verifiable sources, such as newspapers and Darude himself.
I was unable to verify, however, the anecdote regarding Darude's encounter with Kirka Babitzin. I've found no mention of it online. I would have removed it, except for the fact that if the anecdote *is* true, then this article is the only documentation of the event.

Why in the world was the name of this article changed from Darude to his real Name Ville Virtanen? Darude is the name that most people know him by. It should be changed back to Darude. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joe Yamamoto (talk • contribs) 04:28, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
there should be something here about the SNL sketch "the first person to ever dance" 69.153.201.208 05:29, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Other songs by...
editThere's a track called Easy (just move some) by 2000:Canarias, which is remarkably similar to Sandstorm. V. Virtanen is credited in the booklet of the CD, so I believe it's a, alias of him... 80.128.224.27 (talk) 13:45, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Clarification: Not an alias, but 2000:Canarias ripped off 'Sandstorm', legal stuff followed, all the credits were made out to Darude / Ville Virtanen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.60.139.117 (talk) 12:03, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
Ignition
editI'm not sure this "album" is worth mentioning. There are no citations regarding its existence, and the way the album is described (both on the main Darude page and on the albums page itself) makes it sound like some random person put the "album" together, rather than being autoritative. Essentially I'm saying it doesn't seem encyclopedia-worthy. Thoughts?
Discography
editWondering why there isn't a fuller discography than what is offered here. "Sandstorm" went to #1 in numerous countries and where it didn't top the chart, it came pretty close. (MoovieStarz (talk) 20:00, 13 April 2009 (UTC))
Widely copied single
editit seems like the article should mention the fact that Sandstorm is one of the most widely illegally copied/shared singles in the history of the internet. It seems like every 13 year old kid has an illegal copy of Sandstorm on his computer. I've heard the song everywhere, but never met anyone with a physical copy of the CD. 128.120.218.130 (talk) 01:11, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
Darude Before The Storm
editI have corrected the release date of the album Before The Storm. It is incorrectly stated that it was released in May 2001. The album was released in September 2000. This info can be find at www.discogs.com. When on the album cover is (c) and (p) 2000 so it couldn't have been released first in 2001. Just verify the info before blocking me out.
