Pro Bowl Reserve.

edit

Being in the Pro Bowl is mentioned in the comment. It is simply mentioned that it was as a reserve. This, if applied to others as well, will show the original selectors as the higher rank for the season that they deserve. Reserves deserve to be shown for their selection, but not for what the original selects do.Tapper930 (talk) 19:14, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

He did mke those Pro bowls, as a reserve or not does not matter. This kind of stuff can be added to the prose at this and Pro Bowl articles. Kante4 (talk) 19:18, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Exactly this. This also isn't standard practice either. Reserve or not he made the Pro Bowl and adding reserve doesn't need to take up space in the infobox-- Yankees10 19:27, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
It takes up one small line. And, as stated before, making reserve is making Pro Bowl, but not like the original selects. To make the Pro Bowl as a starter, you simply have to be one of the top three. To make the Pro Bowl as a reserve, you aren't simply the next in line. You are the next in line that accepts, whether due to injury or Super Bowl. Because of this, the reserve could be seventh, eighth, or later on the list of players at that position. Thus, they are not the same as a starting selection.Tapper930 (talk) 19:35, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
The thing is, in the infobox we just list when a player was selected for a pro bowl. Mentioning reserve can be done elsewhere but not there. Kante4 (talk) 19:44, 10 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
You still haven't given a reason, though. All you have said is, you don't do it. You don't say why, and you don't say what the negative factor of the change would be. This change to the other players as well would ease so much confusion in the NFL wiki world.Tapper930 (talk) 00:07, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Not seeing any confusion anywhere. He was selected to two pro bowls, so this is listed. Starter or reverse is irrelevant. Kante4 (talk) 14:32, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Again, starter and reserve are two different definitions. When a player gets selected as a reserve, he is proud to receive it, but not as proud as when he gets selected as a starter. I don't see how there is confusion to you, and, again, you haven't given me any reason except that it is a Pro Bowl. What makes them the same to you when there is a complete difference in the definition of the two to the players even? Tapper930 (talk) 16:02, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
It is the same. You are playing in the Pro Bowl, not more and not less. And that should be listed, as reserve can be added in the prose of the article. Not sure what you are arguing about as we just list the times a player played in a pro bowl, not how many times as a starter and as a reserve. Never seen a debate about that or problems, so much for the confusion in the NFL wiki world. Kante4 (talk) 16:17, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
We aren't listing the number of times in the Pro Bowl. We are listing the specific years of the Pro Bowl. All I would be doing is adding a fact of whether a player made a Pro Bowl as a reserve, which would take up minimal space on the page. And, again, you are simply saying that they are the same with no reason to back it up. They are not the same. Starting means you are one of the top three vote getters. Reserve means you are the next in line willing to except playing due to injury or Super Bowl appearances, and many people after #3 don't accept for injury alone. Adding on to this for future requests, per WP:SPORTSTRANS, we wait for the TEAMS themselves to announce transactions, not insiders or even NFL's own social media. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 00:04, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Put Davante Adams as a Las Vegas Raider and Las Vegas Raider only not Green Bay Packers. 71.198.118.211 (talk) 04:14, 21 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

He's already listed as a Raider. If you're asking to remove his career history, or any mention of the Packers, that just won't happen. Hey man im josh (talk) 11:04, 21 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Right? Rapsheet doesn’t work for an NFL team the last I checked. Just an insider. Legzxy (talk) 17:38, 15 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
The page has been protected. As usual, wait until the team or the individual confirms the transaction. We should never be updating player information based solely on reports. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:16, 15 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
