editWhat is this? It reads like a classified ad.
This almost sounds like it's a vanity article written by Dave himself. I came here wanting to know more about him and all I got was this... ???
- I cleaned it up and added a little more, however it may still read like a classified. Would like to see biographical information if anyone has it. I know he was a used car salesman before starting the magazines and gameshop.
- I forget to even mention the game shop actually. In my opinion, Dave was instrumental in furthering the popularity of import gaming in the early 90s, before the web took off.

editI've removed the 'Controversy' section of this article, as it contained various criticisms of Halverson but was almost entirely unsourced - there was a link to an interview with one of his fellow writers, but this isn't really a reliable enough source for the claim it was supporting (about an alleged drug-taking incident). In general, negative statements about living people must be supported by references to reliable sources: see WP:BLP. Robofish (talk) 16:18, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

editThis article literally has three sentences. I question how notable Halverson is beyond giving a handful of contentious review scores.Gruffbenji (talk) 14:02, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
