A Guide to the Davi Det Hompson Papers, 1969-1988 - I don't know anything about art, but I thought this biographical note (to his collection of papers donated to the University of Virginia) might help. I notice that it gives a specific death date and that it lists some of the places where he exhibits. I don't know much about WP notability for artists, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the places where the artist has exhibited. Hope this helps. for your suggestion and interest in this draft. The collection above is at Virginia Commonwealth University's James Branch Cabell Library. I think the items in the collection are available to all the universities in the library system of the Commonwealth of Virginia (including the University of Virginia and William and Mary through interlibrary loan.) It is wise that these schools supported by public funds try not to duplicate their rare acquisitions but instead to make them easily accessible through sharing.

As you can see in the link you cite above, there is an embarrassment of riches documenting the notability of Davi Det Hompson. I probably should not try to include all his publications, exhibitions, and reviews. I hope that, once the Wikipedia article is accepted, students of art history will begin to use it in their research and study of the actual objects which he donated to VCU. What's more, perhaps they will also begin to edit the article and locate a good photograph in the public domain for his profile picture. In the meantime, if you find one, I'd like to include it. Thank you so much for your kind assistance.Mitzi.humphrey (talk) 20:38, 22 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
