Cleanup
editI've made some changes, as well as refactoring the article:
- Changed applicable video links to Google video, as it provides better download (and viewing) abilities than others such as milkandcookies.
- Elucidated what kind of dance Dave performs (it's not breakdancing...)
- Added picture!
I made the change to list the propper dance style Elsewhere does, It's not liquid, there is no handflow. It is defined as abstract waving, and you would have to be stupid not to know that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.65.250.100 (talk) 02:30, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
double jointed
editIs it known if he is double jointed, or has some other condition/unusual body feature thingy that allows him to do such visually stunning things (sticking his chest way out comes to mind)? Or is he just really flexible? If anyone knows for certain, I think it would be worth noting in the article because I'm sure many people wonder about that.
Okay I just looked it up and in the Elsewhere interview from oyemag (it's linked from this article) David says this:
"I’m not double-jointed at all. The only place where I am double-jointed is my thumbs, which doesn’t even matter. I would say I’m probably a little more flexible than most people in certain areas, mainly my shoulders and my ankles, but I wasn’t born that way. Those areas became flexible because of years of practicing."
So he's not double-jointed. What does everyone (anyone?) think, could the article say that he's not double-jointed, just flexible? I think it should.
- Virtually everybody who I witnessed see an Elsewhere video for the first time speculated that he just has to be double-jointed. Given that we have a citation that he's not, I think that information would be valuable to many people who look him up on Wikipedia. EboMike 17:13, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
WikiProject Peru?
editThis is unbelievable. This article was made into part of WikiProject Peru based on unsourced information. David Bernal isn't Peruvian. I even recall having read that he's never even been there. --uKER (talk) 08:28, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
He most certainly is of Peruvian, and not 'mixed Hispanic' descent, see the citation I have added for an interview with him. The last time I checked, one does not need to have visited the country of one's descent to qualify as being of that country's descent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.13.162.75 (talk) 20:06, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- I saw the video several times and couldn't find any mentions of Peru anywhere. --uKER (talk) 23:45, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- I have put in a better link in which he states his mother is Peruvian and his father from New Mexico. RE the youtube link I have deleted it as it must be an edited version. I will look for one with the full interview in which he says he is Peruvian. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.26.21.243 (talk) 04:51, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
