- @Catfurball: I am always happy to add roses to my to-do list, but I only create rose articles if I can find Wikicommons rose images that I can use for the article. Browsing thru these names, I found a few Wikicommons photos, so I will add some of these roses to my list. I am encouraging gardeners and photographers to take pictures of labeled roses this summer and adding them to WikiCommons. I plan to be in Portland, Oregon in June and I believe the Portland Rose Garden has a David Austin section. I will take photos if I get there. MauraWen (talk) 18:53, 15 February 2022 (UTC)
Notability
editDavid Austin’s notability has been queried.
David Austin was a prominent rose grower, very well-known in the UK for developing his "English Rose" series over many years. I have added a link to his biography in the Oxford Dictionary of National biography, and his obituaries in the RHS website and the Guardian. He gets far more mentions on Google than any other David Austin (I am merely pointing this out in response to the notability query). Darorcilmir (talk)
