Brian Houston matter
editSomething should be included about David Elliot’s incendiary comments about Brian Houston and Hillsing which he recognises is in his electorate, he states - Mr Elliott said despite Hillsong being in his electorate, he will “never step foot in it again as long as he [Mr Houston] is leader.” https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/hillsong-pastor-brian-houston-charged-for-allegedly-concealing-child-sexual-abuse-by-his-father-20210805-p58g7z.html 132.234.229.223 (talk) 08:44, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
The notable UK paper Daily Mail has since gone on to say the Police Minister David Elliott has described Houston as an “ungrateful twat” (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9873369/Brian-Houston-Hillsong-founder-ungrateful-twat-demanded-special-Covid-treatment.html) so much for separation between state and church, definitely notable for inclusion! 120.29.40.104 (talk) 07:58, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
Elliott crusade against churches
editIn Perth Now, Police Minister David Elliott said he was "quite stunned" by the reckless behaviour, saying if major cathedrals can stream services then suburban churches can as well. "Churches are there to profess the message of hope and love and to have those people endanger communities ... is extraordinary," he told Sydney radio 2GB on Monday. https://www.perthnow.com.au/news/health/tougher-lockdown-rules-kick-in-for-nsw-c-3752481 132.234.228.54 (talk) 22:57, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
