I have been trying to prove that David Emanuel is of Jewish heritage for a number of years. As I am a descendant of the Emanuel family myself, I have a keen interest in this topic. There just isn't any hard evidence. This myth seems to have developed over one hundred years ago, and I think I may have contributed to perpetuating this myth since I created this article! Recently I have discovered additional information that will hopefully clear all this up. I am working on getting good sources together and will soon update the article with this new information. I have seen trees on Ancestry.com with that information. I have never seen any documented sources that confirm that. I do not know if it is true. There are many trees on Ancestry filled with unreliable and unsourced information. H2O (talk) 00:04, 23 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
