Fiji Water
editThe article curently says "became the No. 1 brand of imported water, even before Evian."
Now, firstly, this info is not really necessary in the article for David Gilmour, as it's not talking about the man. But it needs to be added to the article for Fiji Water, as it's talking about the water.
Secondly, if you need to have it in, it can't be so wishy-washy:
- My guess is that they overtook Evian's sales? Then please say so clearly. As the sentence stands now it might be misunderstood to mean that they were on the market earlier than Evian.
- When was that?
- Imported to where? Which market are we talking about here? And who cares? Isn't it more noteworthy to say how the water affects Fiji, in terms of exports?

- Hello David Gilmour, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank for making your suggestions on this discussion page rather than editing the article directly. I have reviewed your edit requests and given short explanations of my assessment for each. I am declining this edit request because you have not cited a source for the claim that Gilmour founded twelve companies. Best, Altamel (talk) 21:44, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

- Request declined. This timeline sounds plausible, but I need a source stating that Gilmour was born in Winnipeg. I am unable to access the Investor's Business Daily article you cited because it is paywalled. Altamel (talk) 21:44, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Altamel (talk) 21:44, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

Change Fiji title to Fiji Water and Wakaya Perfection
- I have simply deleted the section subheader; there's no need to have so many. Altamel (talk) 21:44, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

Edit the Fiji section with
During the period when “Fiji Water” became the fastest growing premium beverage in the world and the Start Up of “Wakaya Perfection” the Gilmour’s owned “The Wakaya Club and Spa” on their island of Wakaya which for several years became the Celebrity meeting place out the South Pacific: GUESTS such as Bill Gates, Prince Filipe of Spain, Rupert Murdock and Sons, Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Steve Jobs, George Lucas, David Niven, Robert Zemeckis, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Michel Pfeiffer, Celine Dion, Zubin Mehta, Sir Ridley Scott, and many others made it their secret hideaway.

- Too promotional. The language is clearly intended to promote Fiji Water and Wakaya, and the list of guests is pure namedropping. Altamel (talk) 21:44, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

- As with requests #1 and #2, I would be willing to reconsider this request if a citation to a reliable source is provided. Altamel (talk) 21:44, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Altamel If this is helpful - this source does say "Europe." Consider that this article is a decade old, however. Jmbld (talk) 00:58, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
Wakaya Perfection
editI am finding WP:RS examples like this showing that the company's launch predates the 2016 date that is given in the introduction. Is anyone able to find an accurate founding date for Wakaya Perfection? Jmbld (talk) 00:53, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
