Larry the Robot??

edit

I don't know how many folks here remember the Satellite Game, but the name 'Larry the Robot' is inaccurate at best. The series worked much like Knightmare, only instead of a dungeoneer the young contestants controlled a small red android called LARI around early 3D virtual reality environments of the satellite Enigma. LARI was an acronym which stood for Lightly Armed Robotic Investigator. As LARI could be destroyed in the course of a game, the series got around it by using a different (but same model) LARI for subsequent contestants, which David would voice. As the series didn't last long (failing to produce the levels of success that Knightmare enjoyed) it was very quickly forgotten and very rarely mentioned. Tim Child himself looks back on The Satellite Game as being a mistake on so many levels that rarely discusses it at all. This means that there's very little verifiable information on the web for sources and such. Pobatti (talk) 01:13, 6 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
