FIRE

edit

I changed the the portion of the article that described FIRE as a "right wing group" because (1) technically it has no political affiliation and (2) it has taken on a number of cases that align more closely with stereotypical "left-wing" interests. It may have more support from conservative pundits in general, but that shouldn't enter into an NPOV description in an article only tangentially related to the group itself. For more information about the political "orientation" of FIRE, see the Wikipedia article on the topic (Foundation for Individual Rights in Education).

Fair use rationale for Image:Pingandleebron.jpg

edit

Image:Pingandleebron.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Leebron "first Jewish president of Rice"

edit

Wait a second - I thought Norman Hackerman was the first Jewish president of Rice - he signed my Rice degree. I think Leebron is the SECOND Jewish president of Rice. Not that it really matters - both got there based on performance. And I'm not Jewish (far from it). P.S.--And Leebron has a long way to go to match Hackerman - Hackerman was involved in the WWII atomic bomb project - he was an expert in corrosion. Leebron, you've got some catching up to do.109.154.5.232 (talk) 11:52, 24 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Like the opening of China

edit

Leebron thinks his going to Iran is like the opening of China in the early 70s? Is this inserted to show how self-absorbed Leebron is, or as a joke? Here's a guy whose wikipedia entry shows nothing except being an academic bureaucrat, and someone decides to quote him congratulating himself for something completely out of his league? Seriously, just because you can link to a source, doesn't mean it's worth linking to.
