re-write needed, poor quality article
editThis article has spelling mistakes and a "discription" (sic) of a video where it's not clear if this is from a novelisation or what. It doesn't read like a police report or something that would be used for an encyclopaedia entry. One source alone is not sufficient, and phrases like "after that, it got ugly" is not NPOV or just the sort of style an encyclopaedia should use. As far as I knew, no true snuff films had ever been found by law enforcement agencies, but the events of this article contradicts that, so verification of this information is paramount.
I will try to contribute when I have time, but if anyone reads this in the meantime and has the inclination, please, re-write and verify the information as needed. - and you will know know me by the trail of dead. (talk) 04:40, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Really, the article is fine except for almost everything after: "by officers pursuant to search warrants. -Police search warrant, 4/13/1999" It's written in a completely different style, definitely non-encyclopedic, and is just bizarre. It reads like a spooky Halloween e-mail forward or something. I'm just going to delete the whole part since it barely adds any useful information even if you can get past the formatting. 68.100.128.43 (talk) 01:28, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Note the current last paragraph of the "Biography" section:
- In 1997, Ray met 37-year-old Cindy Hendy who worked at a state park in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, and who was fleeing convictions on grand theft and drug charges in Washington State and they became romantically involved and bonded over their shared violent sexual fantasies. In a 1993 recorded message, Ray told his captives that they would be forced to sexually service Hendy as well.
- So 4 years before he met Hendy, he told victims they'd be servicing her??? Terrible tracking of basic facts here. 2603:6081:1541:2372:F4AF:8B85:125B:5720 (talk) 09:21, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
Faulty Citation
editCitation 11, "Transcript of David Parker Ray's Audio Tape – Toy Box Killer", is a faulty citation. The article the link leads to has been deleted. Its-riya (talk) 11:40, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
