edit"the execution of John Kurde, a Protestant shoemaker of Syston, who was burnt at Northampton on 20 September 1557"
I can't find any confirmation that Kurde came from Syston in Leicestershire. Foxe, in the 1570 edition (2257) says "His name was Iohn kurde a Shomaker, late of the Parish of Syrsam, in Northampton shiere" which I take to be modern Syresham near Brackley. 12:38, 27 September 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Neil McCaughan (talk • contribs)
