This page should not be speedily deleted because... This golfer was a top 10 finisher in The Open Championship, the most important golf tournament in the world. Other editors have red linked this golfer for article creation. Please consult with editor Tewapack, he will tell you this article should not be deleted. @TheLongTone: I've declined the speedy since placing in the 1861 Open Championship is just enough of an assertion of notability to where this would be better suited to an AfD as opposed to a speedy, if you want to pursue further deletion. Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡) 13:49, 10 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

I have come to realise what a pathetically low bar there is for notability when it comes to sports. In my book being a footballer, (let alone a golfer) is prima facie evidence of unworthiness to be the subject of an encyclopedia article.Imo there should be a sports only wikipedia.TheLongTone (talk) 10:45, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
