Credits being removed

edit

Hi! First of all, thanks for adding this article, and for all the work you guys do in general in the Video games wikiproject! I'm bringing this up in the talk page because of a Conflict of Interest (this is a game I've worked on). I made a small edit to the page earlier today to fix a couple things in the credits infobox, which can be verified from the game's credits (https://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/dawn-of-the-monsters/credits) and official website (http://www.13amgames.com/about). I hope that wasn't a problem, please let me know if I should have done that in a different way.

However, a few of the credits I added have been removed, with the comment "leads only". Looking at the article's history, I noticed this happened before as well. I'm confused by this, because some other indie game articles I'm looking at do contain more than a single artist, programmer or designer in their respective sections, including non-leads. Furthermore, the sections themselves include the plural ("Designer(s)", "Programmer(s)", "Artist(s)") and don't specify that they should only list the leads. I get that an infobox can't simply list everyone, of course, but 13AM Games has a small core team of a dozen workers, and the difference between the lead designer and the other two designers is mostly nominal, as each of them worked in different elements of the game and contributed equally. Adding the missing members of the core team would still keep the infobox at a smaller size than Cuphead's or Shovel Knight's.

So I'd kindly ask if the 3 artists, 2 designers and 1 programmer from the core team (as shown in the two links above) could be be added back. Otherwise, if there is a rule preventing this, an explanation would be much appreciated to avoid confusion in the future. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beleko (talkcontribs) 13:59, 16 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Beleko: Hello! Per the guidelines from Template:Infobox video game, we only list "lead designer", "technical director" and "art director". That would mean we would only list Fernandes (Lead Design), Marty Kugler (Technical Direction & Programming Lead), and Takashi (Art Direction and General Art).
