South Korean citizenship claim highly dubious
editDuring the time that this individual was alive, South Korea (like most Asian countries) did not permit dual citizenship. Thus, in the act of emigrating to the United States and acquiring American citizenship, he certainly would have expatriated himself, losing his South Korean citizenship in the process. (Although a revision was made to South Korea's law in 2010, this was long after this man became deceased and would not have applied to him).
For reference,please consult: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Korean_nationality_law#Dual_citizenship
In light of this, I am modifying the listing for citizenship to list "South Korean (renounced)". Since he died before 2010 and South Korea flatly denied dual citizenship prior to 2010, there is no conceivable way for him to have held both American and South Korean citizenship simultaneously. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PhilHudson82 (talk • contribs) 00:54, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
