Tips

edit

The section titles should conform to WP:MOS (especially capitalization), and the captions too. --Howard the Duck 14:25, 10 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pictures are really really REALLY outdated. The Vaugirard isn't used for recollections and retreats anymore. The recollections are now held in the Our Lady of the Star building. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.203.104.40 (talk) 11:33, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

GA passes

edit

This is a comprehensive, well-illustrated, well-sourced, well-organized article. Congratulations! It wasn't easy to do this in a way that didn't sound like an advertisement (It may well promote the school, but it will do so while staying within Wikipedia strictures).

Suggestions for future improvements.

  • A longer intro; there's certainly enough in the article to justify more up there.
  • Some copyediting to strain out the occasional typos.
  • Most importantly, consider moving some of the images to the alternating-left-and-right placement, at least where they've created some formatting problems with the edit links.
  • The 45K of length isn't a major problem for me, but the campus section strikes me as long enough that, following the example of some longer articles on U.S. colleges and universities, a daughter article could be spun off.

Good luck and congratulations once again. Daniel Case 12:51, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Delist

edit

Until the section titles are conformed into the manual of style I'll be delisting this by the weekend. --Howard the Duck 15:02, 15 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's fixed already (the threat of delisting can do wonders hehehe). --Howard the Duck 06:09, 16 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:DLSZ Logo Clear Background.png

edit

Image:DLSZ Logo Clear Background.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:57, 2 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

GA comment

For the article to maintain its GA status, the logos need detailed fair use rationales. Look to other passed GA/FAs for examples. Let me know on my talk page if you have any questions. --Nehrams2020 06:35, 3 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

The image File:Dlsu centennial logo.PNG is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

GA Reassessment

edit
This discussion is transcluded from Talk:De La Salle-Santiago Zobel School/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the reassessment.

I will be doing the GA Reassessment on this article as part of the GA Sweeps project. H1nkles (talk) 15:44, 16 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Per WP:LEAD the lead is to be a summary of the entire article covering all the subjects found in the article. For an article of this size the lead should be two to three paragraphs. This lead is underdeveloped and should be expanded. There are several sections covered in the article that are not covered in the lead. H1nkles (talk) 16:38, 16 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

The referencing for the article is very sporadic with the following sections or sub-sections unreferenced: "Controller" sub section is also one sentence and should be combined or expanded. "Division 1 Library", "St. La Salle Building", "Saint Brother Mutien-Marie Building", "Brother Flavius Leo FSC Hall", "Athletic facilities", "Campus access" also is a single sentence and should be expanded or probably better to combine with another section. "School Seal" (I put an unreferenced template on this section since it has no references), and "Santiago Zobel". I count 9 sub-sections or full sections with no references. I did not include sections that have only one in-line citation in the above list. Several other sections have very sporadic referencing. For example the "Academic and Information Services" section has four entries, but only the "Institutional Development and Communications Office" has an in-line citation, the rest don't. The same holds true for the other two sections with lists of departments. Some of the entries have references but the others don't. There doesn't seem to be a reason behind where in-line citations are placed and why certain information is referenced and other information isn't.

I had trouble accessing the following links in the reference section: 11, 12, 13, 16, I seemed to have to log in or input a password to view these pages, this could be a problem with my browser though. 2, 6, 10, 21, and 22 are dead links. 15, 20, and 24 timed out and I couldn't get to them. That represents half of the references.

In my opinion this article will need to be overhauled. The links in the article need to be repaired and the rest of the article needs to be referenced. The lead will need to be rewritten as well. I do not believe this article can be fixed in short order so I will delist from GA. H1nkles (talk) 18:12, 16 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

If there will be an overhaul, it should be noted that the laboratories have been renovated, the Cybernook now has MacBooks and all the other computer laboratories have better computers. Also, in the campus map, the Parmenie is above, not below, the Chapel Of Our Lady Of The Star.--Dan2paul (talk) 02:21, 27 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
