Cleanup
editIssues:
- there are no sources given (see Wikipedia:Verifiability)
- style needs cleanup too (see Wikipedia:WikiProject Music)
- article has to be reviewed without bias (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view) --Johnnyw 01:07, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
- The {{advert}}-tag was removed without adressing these issues. I tried to take care of some it, still, there are no sources given for any of the information contained in the article. Therefore I added the verify-tag... --Johnnyw 12:40, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for removing the "nowiki" tag. As I understand it, one criterion for retention is proof of extensive touring. That is provided here. Thanks also for the "cleanup." A few comments on the "cleanup": 1. Dead Meadow is not an Alternative genre band. The band has sometimes been lumped in the somewhat limited "Stoner Rock" category, but more accurately fits other labels like "Art Rock" or "Space Rock" and certainly "Psychedelic Rock" as well as "Indie Rock." 2. Cory Shane is not with the band any longer (as of June 2005.) 3. The band is not from Maryland. The band is known as being from D.C. 4. Plenty of "sources" are available. The band's website cites most of these, and that link is provided here. The website references many reviews with links back to the sources. The link to Matador Records' website is also here, thus also confirming the truth. The link to the band's MySpace pages confirm the tour histories described here. 5. This user can provide further information on sources if that is required. Just feel free to ask. Thanks!Shootingstar 10:25, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
Style
editI think the Biography is written more like a review. Needs some unbiased cleanup if you ask me. Sounds like it's taken straight from an album review.Chaide 4:23, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism
editLooks like someone doesn't like Dead Meadow.
Location

Redid page
editThis page was almost completely copied from Matador's website bio for Dead Meadow. I tried to paraphrase the information without directly copying, and adding in some cites to the matador page where necessary. I left out some information specific to albums (like recording info) since this should go on the album page. I'll try to add it there when I have a chance. I also updated the infobox, added a line-up section, and added labels and reissue info to the discography. I also removed a couple of external links that seemed a little extraneous, and took off the matador link since it is linked in the ref section. Olliegrind 01:52, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- I left out a lot of the tour information since I am not familiar with it and did not have a way to verify it. If you can find information on this please add it back in and include the cite. Olliegrind 11:53, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

another Live record
editFootage from the Levitation Sessions has been published on the respective bandcamp page [1] , is it worth noting it under released live albums? 2001:638:504:C07C:4A8E:9C52:B48C:6C06 (talk) 07:23, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
