The request to rename this article to Dean Cox has been carried out. |
Dean Cox (Australian footballer) → Dean Cox – Clearly the primary topic. Only other article on the dab page is Dean Cox (English footballer) who plays in the third tier competition of English soccer. The Australian footballer, on the other hand, plays in the top level competition of Australian rules football and was named the best player in his position from 2005–2008 (see All-Australian team). A google news archive search shows that the Australian footballer gets 10 hits before the English footballer gets one. Per WP:TWODABS, the dab page can be deleted and a hatnote placed on this article if this move request is successful. Jenks24 (talk) 06:26, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- Support, seems a sensible proposition. doomgaze (talk) 22:44, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- Support, AFL footballer is obvious primary.Jevansen (talk) 04:52, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- I've moved the page as per the above request, and added a hatnote to reflect this change. The original move by User:RM-Taylor was unilateral and, as pointed out, against WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. --Hadal (talk) 08:19, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
