I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Edits concerning score and numbers

I have reverted a recent edit by User:Elmore3003, because it lacks references. Also, some of the details concerning specific musical numbers seem trivial, at least with respect to this article. If those songs are of great historical interest, they should have their own articles. Please do not edit war. Short description

@Ssilvers in the search bar the WP:short description currently reads as

Musical by Herbert Fields, Lorenz Hart and Richard R...

getting cut off. Because most people see the SD in the search bar and use it to help locate an article that they're already looking for, it's best that they're short and use words that distinguish them from similarly-titled articles, not so much similarly-themed articles. In this way, any category can be good enough.

Articles that show up in a search for "Dearest" include

Dearest (2014 film), 2014 film

Dearest Enemy, Musical by Herbert Fields, Lorenz Hart and Richard R...

Dearest Sister, 2016 film

Dearest (EP), 2022 EP by N.Flying

Dearest Enemy (TV series), Australian TV series or program

Dearest Idol, Book by Martin Boyd

Judging by these counterparts, I would say "Musical" would be a good enough SD for this article. But because you are engaged in this issue I will trust your judgment in any shortening. Wizmut (talk) 21:33, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

I think I have fixed the issue, if we can refer to Rodgers and Hart. As I indicated in my edit summary, stage works should not be identified by a date, since, unlike a film, for example, the date will be very ambiguous -- it could refer to the date the work was written, the date it was published, the date of the premiere of the first (perhaps very small) production, the date of the first major-market production, or even the date of the most famous production. -- Ssilvers (talk) 01:45, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
