Max Benson was a resident of Davis California and attending Davis Joint unified school District when he was placed two counties away to attend guiding hands. It’s important that the Davis joint unified school district's choice to place him be referenced and not white washed with simply “Yolo County.” The special admins Riley Chessman, Jennifer Galas and Patrick McGrew being named as defendants is relevant because they would’ve signed off on the IEP to move him.
