Talk:Decline of Christianity in the Western world

Latest comment: 1 year ago by George Ho in topic Causes missing?

In the course of making edits here, I stumbled upon Postchristianity which is the exact same thing.

I propose, to eliminate this article as duplicative:

  1. We migrate any information present here that is not in Postchristianity to that page
  2. Add a redirect to Postchristianity from "Decline of Christianity"
  3. Delete this page

I will begin work on step #1 immediately, since it is effectively only the improvement of Postchristianity. If there are any objections, please voice them here.

Just kidding. I'm not sure which article is more legit. They do appear duplicative. But I don't really have the time for this project.

Changed title of the article

edit

On the whole, Christianity is growing in numbers and as a percentage of the world's population as is religion (see: Growth of religion).[1]

Accordingly, I changed the title of the article.Knox490 (talk) 15:14, 3 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Previously the article's title was "Decline of Christianity". Blue Rasberry (talk) 14:46, 12 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
I moved it to Decline of Christianity in the Western World because that is what the lede said and it is growing in other countries. GlennHakim (talk) 11:55, 24 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Templates

edit

There are two templates on the article which refer to this talk page for discussion. Would any editors care to expand on ideas to improve the issues with the article? GlennHakim (talk) 11:56, 24 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Causes missing?

edit

I wonder whether the article has adequately explained the possible causes of suhc decline. If so, I may have missed such info. However, I don't see a separate section about such causes. The whole article is all about statistics... in prose. George Ho (talk) 15:41, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
