This festival had 300 people attend in 1976 and 3000 in 1977 and 20,000 people attend in 1978 and 1979 ie total of 43300 people attended- there was no admission charge which was fairly unique for such an event and it was the first festival to mix punks and hippies on the stage and in the audience and has recently been the subject of an ITV documentary, it has been quoted as a major influence in the music careers of the hundreds of name musicians attending and future musicians who were in the audience. It should stay on wikipedia as this festival was as important as Glastonbury in the history and development of rock festivals beam265 (----)
