Phone number

edit

Why why why would the school's phone number belong on this page?!?!? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.15.73.202 (talk • contribs) 09:24, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC).

Remove it if you like. --Tony Sidaway|Talk 10:31, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)
It's a public school whose phone number is available to the public, and may be a useful way for readers to find more information. At the same time, Wikipedia is not a phone book and it does not add anything to the article. --SparqMan 28 June 2005 21:54 (UTC)

Im too lazy to write about their football team. But it is currently doing very well. They have a college bound QB (Northwestern, Stanford, Purdue), maybe he could be tlaked about —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.15.73.160 (talkcontribs)

I graduated in Simone Elkeles class, would anyone want to see a yearbook as proof? She was one of DHS's and the pride goes both ways. Give her the recognition here, she's earned it.

The reversion of "notable people"

edit

Why isn't Simone Elkeles considered a notable person from Deerfield High School? Tinytink (talk) 23:12, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

While you were writing this, I left a response on your talk page. It is important to establish with a reliable source that she actually attended the school. As you can see above, adding non notable people in this article has been a problem in the past, and editors are just being careful. This author may in fact be exactly what you are claiming (no one is calling you a liar), but it is critical to establish supporting material for these claims.
