Proposed Bibliography for edit of page
editI am planning on editing the page to add details about oxidoreductases, the use of NAD+/NADP+, more details on specific examples (alcohol dehydrogenase), and how dehydrogenases are used in the TCA cycle. Here are some of the resources I am planning on using:
1) Voet, Donald, Judith G. Voet, and Charlotte W. Pratt. Fundamentals of Biochemistry: Life at the Molecular Level. New York: Wiley, 2006. Print.
2) Goodsell, D.S. "Alcohol Dehydrogenase". RCSB Protein Data Bank. doi:10.2210/rcsb_pdb/mom_2001_1.

outline for proposed edit
edit1) define oxidoreductases (using source 4 & 1 from above)
a. distinguish between a dehydrogenase and a reductase
2) In depth description of dehydrogenase
a. Reactions they catalyze
b. How to identify a dehydrogenase
c. What the reaction looks like (with a picture)- using chemdraw
3) Use of cosubstrates (source 1)
a. NAD+/NADP (source 3 & 1)
b. FAD (source 1)
c. When each is used (what type of reactions with examples)
d. How they work
4) Detailed example of a dehydrogenase reaction
a. Either alcohol dehydrogenase or TCA cycle dehydrogenase (source 5,6 or 2) Jessicook (talk) 17:37, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
