This page needs a serious edit from someone who knows what he or she is talking about. Are there two names - Delaney (Irish) and DeLaney (Norman French)? Are there Delaneys who call themselves DeLaneys out of some idea that it is more posh? If there really are two distinct origins it is understandable that there is confusion. But this page should make an attempt to acknowledge the distinction without jumping back and forth as it does. Cross Reference (talk) 16:31, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
Delany
editThe list here includes two persons with the surname Delany, but Delany lists rather more. It ought to include all or none. I was about to be bold and delete them, but was given pause by the medieval bishop Felix Ua Duib Sláin - if Delany goes then arguably he should as well, but that would lose a useful connection. (The difference is the See Also link to Delany; is that sufficient justification to treat them differently. Lavateraguy (talk) 08:25, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
