Perry and Della marry
editI read thirty or fourty of the Perry Mason novels. Gardner wrote over 500 of these novels and it would be am accomplishment to read them all. It would be an accomplishment just to have a copy of them all.
In one novel, I believe written in 1948, Perry and Della marry. The wedding takes place as a subplot and is not one of Perry's "theatrics" as Hamilton Burger often called his court room demonstrations. In other novels, as this article points out, there is a fair amount of sexual tension between the two.
In the original TV show the Paul Drake character often calls Della by the pet name "beautiful". I don't recall this from the novels and would be interested in its' origin. Was this an invention of the show?

Street?
editWasn't there a detective or police captain named Sam Street in some of the Mr. Wong mystery movies with Boris Karloff? Longinus876 (talk) 01:42, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
