Defmatory content

The article in it's non redirect state includes defamatory information that is unsourced, including PTSD, the information about money, and the estrangement divorce and what not. Hipocrite (talk)

Blanking an article is not the same as removing potentially defamatory information regarding a living person. Neuromancer (talk) 12:00, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Redirecting an article is the right action to take when an article is about a living person famous for only one thing, per WP:BLP1E. Restoring unsourced info about a living person is wrong - the next time you chose to revert without discussion, please be certain that you don't violate WP:BLP. I endorse the re-direct. There is nothing encyclopedic about this chap that isn't perfectly well included in the article on the character.--Scott Mac (Doc) 12:40, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Now we are getting somewhere. I might be inclined to agree with you Scott. This is why we have talk pages. I do believe there is a process to merging however. Sometimes being bold isn't the best thing to do. Our friend the Hipocrit seems to have an emotional attachment to Dennis the Menace, and rather than discussing the merge, he arbitrarily merged, and forwarded. This is where I take issue.
The content has been up for a considerable length of time, so to just blank and forward seems a little too bold. Neuromancer (talk) 12:49, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I fully support the redirect. Neuromancer, please stay civil and do not WP:BAIT others, or disrupt wikipedia to make a WP:POINT. Thanks, Verbal chat 13:44, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
