Denny's first name
editDoes anyone know for fact that his real name is James? I thought for all these years it was Dennis. If someone can find this out that would be great. I've been searching and haven't found a thing. --InvisibleYouth1 (talk) 06:09, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
Does anyone know Denny Hamlin's middle name?

Lobster phobia
editUser:12.150.188.100 added this anecdote to the lead:
- Denny has a very adorable fear of lobsters which recently came into play when Kevin Harvick placed one in the toilet of his motor coach. Ever the resourceful one, Denny promply called his mother who remedied the situation.
I was about to revert it as nonsense, but it appears that it's a true story, according to an ESPN-hosted weblog (which, being written by a reputable ESPN staffer, should carry enough reputability weight):
It definitely doesn't belong in the lead, and "very adorable" is POV, but I don't see another good place to put it (since the article is pretty sparse right now). It seems reasonable for addition in the article if it can be worked into anything other than a trivia section. Tlesher 15:00, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Copyrighted Material?
editI'm concerned that the itemized history (1988-2004) is lifted directly from theJoe Gibbs Racing web site. - Thaimoss 19:00, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- Good catch. You're absolutely right. The article still needs cleanup though. --D-Day 19:18, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Budweiser Shootout Gatorade Duels
editThe Budweiser Shootout is an exhibition race it doesn't count to your win total. The same thing applies to the Gatorade Duels. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gordon24fan (talk • contribs) 23:48, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Birthplace/Catergories
editThe catergories claim he is both from Tampa and Chesterfield. I have heard he was born in Tampa, but the majority of sources I have seen (including his starting lineup intro on MRN) says Chesterfield (the article says he was born there too). Anyone mind clearing this up? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Raganbaby 6 (talk • contribs) 01:02, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
Hagiography?
editWho wrote this thing? Hamlin's mommy? His girlfriend? This thing is such a puff piece that it probably can't be improved. Quite frankly, nothing is less appealing to me than participating in the giant role-playing game aka as Wikipedia, so I'm not going to bother with a rewrite. But you all really ought to be ashamed of yourselves for the way this is written. Question: Which one of you gives him foot massages every night? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.107.157.205 (talk) 14:32, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
His kids names
editI don't think that people. Who wrote that his second child is a boy don't actually follow him on Social Media because he tweeted out on August 16 2017 that it is a girl LindseyRenaw2018 (talk) 00:19, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- Denny's girls names are Taylor and Molly 2601:19B:4500:2FD0:4CA4:2BEB:D2FC:9397 (talk) 23:58, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
