Production
editWhen deoxidized steels are produced are they always done in the ingot state? From the sources that seems to be implied. Plus, I don't know how one would cap a continuously cast slab. If this is true, it ought to be added. Wizard191 (talk) 17:36, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
More explanation needed?
editIsn't all steel deoxidized by definition (oxidized "steel" is rust, right?) I think this article needs more context.--98.254.202.225 (talk) 14:29, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- Good idea. I just added a few more sentences to the head.Jefflayman (talk) 16:09, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
Rimmed Steel
editThe Rimmed steel section of the article appears to be a tad contradictory. Maybe I'm just ignorant of the terminology, but it seems to say that rimmed steel is commonly hot rolled ("... that are later closed up in the hot rolling process"), yet at the same time not recommended for hot working applications. Could a knowledgeable person either fix it or explain what I've missed? Kierkkadon (talk) 17:29, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
