Hello folks, I have just created this article, but there are not many sources on this topic. Despite my research, it is missing a few essential things:

  • The first is that I have not been able to find out who was the first individual to have served as Samoa’s deputy prime minister. The earliest individual to have served as deputy pm that I have been able to find is Tui Ātua Tupua Tamasese Efi. I have not been able to find any sources on whether or not he was the first deputy pm.
  • I have also been unable to find any sources on the date of this office’s establishment.
  • Tui Ātua left office in 1988, and Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi became deputy pm in 1991. It is unclear from 1988 to 1991 as to whether this office was vacant or if there were other deputy prime ministers during this period.

Feel free to add to this article if sources are found.
